One of my personal goals is to embrace continual learning. I believe that by nurturing a culture of curiosity and growth, we empower ourselves to stay open to new ideas, connect more deeply with others, and remain at the forefront of innovation.
Insights from Industry Icons: Susan Cain and Daniel Pink
At the 2019 Women Presidents’ Organization Annual Conference, I had the privilege of attending a leadership event featuring two extraordinary thinkers:
Susan Cain, author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking and Bittersweet
Daniel Pink, author of bestsellers such as Drive, To Sell Is Human, and The Power of Regret
Their session was enlightening—touching on emotional intelligence, audience connection, and the importance of creating environments where both introverts and extroverts can thrive.
During the Q&A, someone asked a question that sparked my interest:
“What’s happening now with the Next Big Idea Club?”
Discovering the Next Big Idea Club
I hadn’t heard of the Next Big Idea Club before, so I did what any curious person would do—I looked it up.
What I discovered was a vibrant platform for thought leadership, curated by four of today’s most influential minds:
Susan Cain
Daniel Pink
Malcolm Gladwell (The Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers)
Adam Grant (Think Again, Give and Take, Originals)
The club focuses on science-backed, life-changing books that offer fresh insights into leadership, psychology, innovation, and personal growth.
The Books That Sparked New Ideas
Within two weeks, my very first box from the Next Big Idea Club arrived. Inside were two titles that left a lasting impression:
Loonshots by Safi Bahcall – A brilliant exploration of how nurturing "crazy ideas" can lead to breakthrough innovation.
No Hard Feelings by Liz Fosslien and Mollie West Duffy – A timely, empathetic guide to emotions at work and building healthier team dynamics.
Both books delivered immediate, actionable insights—many of which I’ve since shared with my friends and colleagues.
Six years later, I’m still part of the Club. It has become a consistent source of inspiration, and a reminder that learning never ends.

A Club That Gives Back
Another reason I continue to support the Next Big Idea Club is its commitment to social impact. For every subscription, two books are donated to children in under-resourced communities. Additionally, the curators donate 100% of their profits.
It’s learning with purpose—something that aligns deeply with our family values.
Why I Recommend It
If you're looking to:
Expand your leadership perspective
Stay informed on the latest thinking in business
psychology and innovation
Engage in meaningful dialogue with curious, growth-minded peer
…I can’t recommend the Next Big Idea Club enough.
And if you ever have the chance to see Susan Cain or
Daniel Pink speak live—take it. Their insights have had a measurable impact on how I lead, collaborate, and innovate.
Conclusion: Learning as a Leadership Practice
Continual learning isn’t just a principle—it’s a practice. Whether through books, events, or intentional conversations, the pursuit of knowledge keeps us adaptable, inspired, and human.
Let’s keep learning—together.
